HOW IT HAPPENED

Montbriand ran into trouble when he met up with Poole who won in a sudden victory. The junior finished the day by winning by fall, 4:32 over Ernhardt again for third place in the 165 bracket.
- Sophomore Merrick O'Donnell (Huntington Beach, Calif.) was able to move through the bracket in the 184-weight class before running into Brandon Petit (Truman State) who won by fall, but O'Donnell bounced back by winning over Quentin Moore (Ancilla) by fall 0:29 to take home seventh place.
