Chivers joins Women’s Hockey staff

MEQUON, Wis. – Kristin Chivers has joined the CUW women's hockey staff. Chivers will join the staff as the graduate assistant coach.

The Anitoch, Illinois native brings years of hockey experience to the staff.

Chivers played defense at Elmira College. Where she played in 115 games and scored 70 points on 15 goals and 55 assists.

She graduated Cum Laude in business administration with a concentration in marketing with a Spanish minor.

On the ice, she collected many impressive accolades including, 2015-16 AHCA First-Team All-American, 2015-16 D3hockey.com Second-Team All-American, 2015-16 D3hockey.com All-East Region First-Team, 2015-16 ECAC West All-Conference First Team, 2015-16 ECAC West All-Rookie Team, 2015-16 USCHO All-Rookie Team, 2016-17 ECAC West All-Conference Honorable Mention, 2016-17 ECAC West All-Academic Team, 2017-18 UCHC All-Academic Team, 2017-18 All-UCHC Second Team, 2018-19 NCAA Tournament Appearance and 2018-19 Conference Champions.

Prior to Elmira, she skated for the Chicago Young Americans U19 program and graduated from Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, Illinois. She was named the Female Athlete of the Year at Lake Forest during her junior and senior years. Chivers was a three-sport athlete, lettering in ice hockey, softball and field hockey. She also earned three Amateur Hockey Association Illinois (AHAI) All-Star Game nods.

She will be earning her MBA in the sports and entertainment business program at CUW.
