Five Falcons score as Women’s Hockey takes down St. Scholastica

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons had five players score as Concordia Wisconsin defeated St. Scholastica 5-2 on Friday night.

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 5, St. Scholastica 2
-Location: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wis.
-Records: Concordia Wisconsin 10-5-2 (6-3-2 NCHA), St. Scholastica 10-6-1 (8-3-0 NCHA)

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The game was back and forth early on. The Saints got on the board first with a goal by Taylor Thompson, though the Falcons answered with a goal by Maddy Millar (Anchorage, Alaska).
-The second period opened with Greta Nundahl giving the Saints another lead, though Emily Godwin (London, Ontario) scored on a power-play opportunity to even the game once again for the Falcons.
-From then on out the Falcons took control with a 3-0 run to close out the game. Madi Chapman (Rogers, Minn.) scored the game-winner at 9:25 in the second period to put the Falcons up 3-2.
-Kristen Kennedy (London, Ontario) and Ally Hull (Wasilla, Alaska) added two more goals for the Falcons in the win.
-Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) had 39 saves in the win. Lexi Thomeczek had 34 for the Saints.
-The Saints outshot the Falcons 41-39.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
-The Falcons broke a five-game winless streak against the Saints with the win. The previous win for the Falcons took place on February 11, 2017.
