Wanless named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

DULUTH, Minn. - Natasha Wanless has been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Women's Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced.

Wanless (Madison, Wis.) put together an impressive tally of points to claim NCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors. In all, the junior recorded a league-high six points with four goals and two assists in CUW's sweep of Aurora University, starting with an assist just 14 seconds into the game on Friday. She closed out that victory by scoring twice in the third to take the 4-1 decision. On Saturday, Wanless gave the Falcons an early lead with a goal just 27 seconds into regulation before scoring the eventual game-winner on a power-play in the second.

This is the first time in her career that Wanless has won the award.
