Women’s Hockey rallies, ties St. Norbert

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin Women's Hockey team rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the third period to tie St. Norbert 2-2 on Saturday night. 

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first two periods were scoreless before the offensive outburst in the third. The Green Knights struck first as Lauren Michael scored just under a minute into the third. Emily Boyce followed three minutes later with her first goal of the season, putting St. Norbert up 2-0.
-Natasha Wanless (Madison, Wis.) answered for the Falcons less than two minutes later, scoring her team-leading seventh goal of the season to cut the Green Knight lead to 1.
-With less than eight minutes remaining in regulation, Ally Hull (Wasilla, Alaska) scored her second of the season to tie the game for the Falcons.
-Neither team managed to score for the remainder of the game, leaving the Falcons with their second tie of the season and the Green Knights with their first.
-Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) had 18 saves in goal for the Falcons.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
-This was the 22nd game between Concordia Wisconsin and St. Norbert in Women's Hockey program history. The Falcons are 5-13-4 in the series. The Falcons have gone 2-0-1 in the past three meetings.

-The Falcons go on the road to face Northland for a two-game series starting Friday, November 30th, at 8pm.
