Lake Forest defeats Women’s Hockey in series finale

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Falcons dropped the second of two games against the Foresters as the Concordia Wisconsin Women's Hockey team fell 3-1 to Lake Forest on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a scoreless first period, the Foresters scored a trio of goals in the second. Sydney Simone scored ten minutes into the period, Amy Budde took advantage of a power play opportunity five minutes later, and Lexi Morgan scored unassisted in the final two minutes of the period.
-The Falcons scored the lone goal of the third period, as Natasha Wanless (Madison, Wis.) scored on a power play opportunity to get CUW on the board. Kristen Kennedy (London, Ontario) assisted Wanless on the goal.
-Lake Forest outshot Concordia Wisconsin 29-14, though the Falcons had a 6-4 edge in shots in the third period.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
-This was the 31st game between Concordia Wisconsin and Lake Forest in Women's Hockey program history. The Falcons are 4-25-2 in the series. The first meeting between these teams was on November 13, 2007.
