Women's Hockey predicted to place fourth in NCHA preseason poll

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Women's Hockey team was chosen in a preseason poll to finish fourth in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association regular season. The voting for the poll was done by coaches from around the league, with the Falcons earning 52 points. The Falcons are coming off a 12-13-2 season, going 10-7-1 in the conference.

Adrian was picked to repeat as regular season champions. The Bulldogs have won four consecutive regular season titles and had 81 points in the poll with nine first-place votes.

St. Scholastica had 71 points to place second in the poll. Lake Forest was just ahead of CUW in the poll at third place with 67 points and had the only other first-place vote apart from Adrian. St. Norbert rounded out the top five with 48 points.

Marian placed sixth (41), Northland seventh (32), Trine eighth (21), Aurora ninth (19), and Finlandia (19) rounded out the poll at tenth.

The Falcons open their season on Friday, October 26, on the road at Bethel. Concordia Wisconsin opens the season with a six-game road trip before returning home to face St. Norbert on Friday, November 16 at 7pm.
