Hull's late goal lifts Women's Hockey to NCHA win over Finlandia

MEQUON, Wis. – Ally Hull scored the game's lone goal with 3:58 left in the third period and Breanna Thomson made 22 saves to help lead the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey team to a 1-0 win over Finlandia Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hull (Wasilla, Alaska) scored the game's lone goal late in the third period to give the Falcons the 1-0 win. Jossa Danis (Brandon, Manitoba) and Emily Godwin (London, Ontario) assisted on the third-period score.

- The rest of the game was all about the goaltending as Thomson (St. Marys, Ontario) made 22 saves. Thomson stopped eight shots in each of the first two periods and added six in the final stanza.

- Finlandia received a strong performance from its goaltender as well as Annah Smiddy finished the game with 45 saves. Smiddy made 23 saves in the first period alone.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Thomson becomes the first player in Falcons history to record three shutouts in a single season. She also posted shutouts against Morrisville State and Northland.
