Luberda is WCHA Player of the Week
Concordia-Wisconsin forward Sarah Luberda (De Pere, Wis.) has been named Player of the Week in the NCHA Women's Division for her role in a 3-point weekend for the Falcons against UW-Stevens Point.
Luberda notched three points as the Falcons secured the fifth seed in the upcoming league playoffs.
Luberda helped get Concordia-Wisconsin an early lead as she assisted on a goal by Alisha Java at 5:41 of the first period. The senior also assisted on an early third period goal that put CUW up 4-1. The Falcons added two empty-net goals in route to a 6-1 win.
Saturday's rematch was much closer, but Luberda had another nice game. She scored the game-tying goal at 7:45 of the third; the teams finished in a 2-2 tie.
