Falcons compete in Carthage Shootout on the Border

Bristol, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin kicked off the season shooting two rounds at the Carthage Shootout on the Border. The Falcons finished 13th out of 17 teams.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
- CUW finished two rounds at the Bristol Oaks Golf Club by coming in with a team score of 385 on the first day, where they were led by Senior Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) who shot a team low 87. Haen was then followed by Sophomore Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) who brought in a 95 into the clubhouse. Sophomore Abbie Haller (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Freshman Megan Whitmer (Plano, Ill.) and Sophomore Molly Mundinger (West Bend, Wis.) shot a 99, 104 and 108 respectively.
- Day one concluded with the Falcons recording a team score of 385. The second round proved to play a little harder for Concordia Wisconsin, as the team add five strokes by recording a 390 for round two. Haen was the leader for CUW on both days coming in with a final score of 175 and Carpenter followed with a 189 through 36 holes. Mundinger recorded the third highest score with a 205, while also improving 11 strokes on day two. Haller followed with a 210 and Whitmer with a 229.
- Haen was able to sneak into the top 50 by placing T-33, while Carpenter came in T-54 to occupy the top spots on the leaderboard for the Falcons.

- Concordia Wisconsin will next take the course on Friday at Currie Park Golf Course for the Wisconsin Lutheran Triangular.
