HOLLAND, Mich. – The Falcons opened the 2022-23 season against one of the major powerhouses in the region in Illinois Wesleyan. The Titans took the opening game of the Hope Tip-Off Tournament with an 86-38 victory.
A layup from senior Aubrey Buchholtz (Seymour, Wis.) tied the game at two to start the game.
The Titans responded with a 7-0 and never looked back.
CUW closed the gap at 15-8 with a layup from freshman Ava Booth (Plymouth, Wis.).
Junior Erin Viergutz (Clintonville, Wis.) led the Falcons with six points, six rebounds and two blocks.
The Falcons will face either Geneva or No. 1 Hope in the consolation game
