Women’s Basketball chosen second in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin was chosen to finish second in the NACC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons concluded the 2017-18 season with a 20-7 overall record and finished second in the NACC standings with a 16-4 record. They also advance to NACC Tournament Championship game for the second year in a row and for the sixth time over the past 12 years.

Wisconsin Lutheran tallied 323 points and 23 first-place votes to lead the 13-team poll. Concordia Wisconsin is second with 291 points and one first-place vote followed by Benedictine (266 points; 1 first-place vote) and Lakeland (246).

Aurora is fifth with 229 points, while Edgewood (180) edged both Concordia Chicago (176) and Dominican (175) for sixth. MSOE (137), Rockford (84), Alverno (76), Marian (59) and NACC newcomer Illinois Tech (33) round out the final five spots in the poll.

The NACC's regular season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
