Scharmer, Wagner named All-NACC First Team
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Audrey Scharmer and Brianna Wagner were named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference First Team for their efforts during the regular season, the league office announced.
The Falcons finished the regular season with a 19-6 overall record and a 16-4 record in NACC play to finish in second. They earned the No. 2 seed for the NACC Tournament and a first-round bye.
Senior Audrey Scharmer (Winona, Minn.) was named All-NACC First Team after being the only player in the conference to average a double-double – 15.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest. She had 13 double-doubles throughout the season. The forward led the NACC in defensive rebounds (180) and was second in offensive rebounds (81), to go along with ranking fourth in field goals made (145), fourth in field goal percentage (51.1), fifth in free throws made (76), seventh in free throw percentage (79.2).
Senior Brianna Wagner (Fond du Lac, Wis.) earned All-NACC First Team honors for the second time in her career and to an All-NACC team for the fourth time. She had six double-doubles during the season and averaged 14.0 points and 6.8 rebounds. The forward scored over 20 points in five contests, to go along with a team-high 31 blocks. Wagner sixth in the NACC for field goals made (136), ninth in defensive rebounds (129) and ninth in blocks (31).
Concordia Wisconsin will face either No. 3 Benedictine, No. 4 Lakeland or No. 5 Concordia Chicago on Saturday at 1 pm in a NACC Tournament semifinal game. The contest will be played on the campus of Wisconsin Lutheran.
