MEQUON, Wis.-  Edgewood College (8-2 NAC) has quietly moved back into the NAC North title picture by virtue of five straight league wins.

The Eagles have defeated Marian, Concordia Chicago, Lakeland, Maranatha, and Benedictine in swift succession and now hope to take over sole possession of first place by upending CUW, also 8-2 in the NAC North, Wednesday evening in the Buuck Fieldhouse.

Edgewood has been led offensively by post player Allison Tobin who is scoring at a 13.2 clip in conference play while grabbing better than eight rebounds per game.

Mariah Hill is second in scoring with an 8.7 average but is shooting just 30% from the field.

The Eagles have been thriving on pressure defense, forcing opponents to turn the ball over an average of 21 times per game.

When CUW and Edgewood met on December 4th in Madison, the Falcons came away with a 61-48 win.  Katie Luethe and Megan Coenen each scored 14 points as the Falcons controlled the inside on that night.

In conference play Edgewood has been averaging 65 points per game while allowing 58.
