CUW opens at Beloit/ Scouting Report
MEQUON, Wis.- The Concordia Wisconsin women's basketball team opens their season on the road Saturday afternoon at Beloit College. The Buccaneers will already have one game under their belt as they host Rockford on Thursday, November 15th.
The Bucs, who defeated CUW 63-55 in the Falcon road opener last season, wound up with a disappointing 5-18 overall record. This will be their second season under head coach Jennifer McCormick.
Six veterans, led by senior Kandace Fox (10.0 ppg.) and juniors Lauren McNanna (10.3), Jenna Larsen (5.9), and Claire Bush (4.5) are back. The team also features seven newcomers to the program. Beloit struggled to a 2-16 conference record after injuries to several regulars but McCormick is very excited about her freshman class.
