Women's Basketball student-athletes complete Tough Mudder

CASCADE, Wis. – When it comes to offseason training, three Concordia University Wisconsin women's basketball student-athletes went to great lengths on Sunday to prepare for the upcoming season.

The trio completed the 12-mile Tough Mudder obstacle course, designed by British Special Forces, which is said to be the toughest event in the World. The event tests all-around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. As the leading company in the booming obstacle course industry, Tough Mudder has already challenged half a million inspiring participants worldwide and raised more than $3 million dollars for the Wounded Warrior Project. The Tough Mudder is more than an event, it's a way of thinking. By running a Tough Mudder challenge, participants unlock a true sense of accomplishment, have a great time and discover camaraderie with fellow a participants that is experienced all too rarely these days.

Obstacles consisted of 12-foot climbing walls, freezing water tanks, climbing a 15-foot high plank before jumping into freezing water, small ponds with electrochock therapy hanging above and a finishing 10,000-volt electroshock therapy area.

In addition, CUW women's soccer head coach Ryan Middendorf and assistant cross country and track & field coach Samantha Bloxdorf also completed the event.
