Gaschk named Shooting Sports head coach

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill announced the hiring of Ken Gaschk as Shooting Sports head coach.

"I am excited to announce that Ken Gaschk has been chosen to lead our shooting sports program," Barnhill said. "Ken has a love for the shooting sports and has a wealth of recruiting knowledge. I am hopeful that under his guidance and leadership that we will be able to bolster our shooting sports roster and add depth of talent and character to our team."

Shooting Sports enters its third year of competition in 2019-20 and has shown success in its first two years. The Falcons won the Optic Rifle national title in the spring of 2018 and Mikaela Leach was the fastest female shooter in the Optic Rifle as an individual to claim a championship of her own.

"I look forward to growing shooting sports at Concordia and am prepared to build on the success in recent years," Gaschk added. "We have some very talented shooters interested in the sport and I know we will add to the foundation set before us. The opportunity Concordia provides for men and women is important and we look forward to showing how successful we can be."
