Men’s Cross Country runs at Kollege Town Invitational

WINNECONNE, WI. – Craig Reese and Wesley Schiek competed in the 8k Pre-National Race for the Concordia Wisconsin Men's Cross Country team while seven more runners ran in the 8k Open Race at the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Sports Invitational on Saturday.

THE BASICS
-Falcons Finish:
6th of 9 (120 points)
-Location: Lake Breeze Golf Club– Winneconne, Wi.
-Falcons Top Five: Reese, Schiek, Kral, Teigen, Ebel

RESULTS
-Reese (Germantown, Wis.) and Schiek (Oshkosh, Wis.) represented Concordia Wisconsin in the 8k Pre-National Race as two of 344 qualifying competitors. Reese had the top time for the Falcons, placing 138th overall at 26:49.73, setting his pace of 5:24. Schiek followed at 194th overall at 27:18.74, good for a pace of 5:30.
-North Central won the Pre-National Race, with Dhruvil Patel leading the team and the overall field with a time of 25:04.
-The Falcons had more runners compete in the 8k Open Race, where they placed sixth as a team. Jack Kral (Kohler, Wis.) led CUW in this race with a time of 27:51, finishing third overall. Ryan Teigen (Fargo, N.D.) followed at 28:32 to place 12th overall, while William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) took 26th at 30:47. Ryan Dziengel (Glendale, Wis.) and Derrick Folkman (Bonduel, Wis.) rounded out the CUW top five in the Open Race with times of 32:35 and 33:32 respectively.
-Macalester won the Open Race as a team. Jonathan Fernandez of Malcolm X led the field overall with a time of 27.11.
