Men's Volleyball chosen sixth in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin was chosen to sixth in the NACC Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office and voted on by the conference's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons finished the 2019 season with a 9-15 overall record and a 5-11 record in NACC play, which was good for sixth place.

Benedictine topped the preseason poll with 234 points and 14 first-place votes, followed by Dominican in second with 217 points and six first-place votes. MSOE is third with 205 and two first-place votes. Aurora is fourth with 172 points, while Lakeland edged Concordia Wisconsin, 137-130, for fifth place.

Marian (113), Illinois Tech (96), Concordia Chicago (70) and new programs at St. Norbert (46) and Rockford (32) round out the poll.

The conference schedule kicks off Thursday, January 23 with one match - Dominican at Marian - and concludes with five matches on Saturday, April 4.

The top six teams in the final regular-season standings will qualify for the NACC Men's Volleyball Tournament, which opens with a pair of first-round games on Tuesday, April 7. Semifinals are slated for Thursday, April 9, and the final for Saturday, April 11. The NACC Tournament champion will receive the league's automatic berth in the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.
