Bio

Chas Walton graduated from Carthage College (Kenosha, Wis.) in 2010, with a Bachelor's Degree in exercise and sports science and is a certified educational instructor of physical education and health.

Walton worked with the Falcons pole vaulters and jumpers and helped them to a banner season in 2016. CUW saw Nicole Larson reach All-American status during both the indoor and outdoor seasons under Walton's guidance, which included her shattering the NACC and CUW records in the event in the process.

As a javelin coach, Walton helped lead Gavin Falotico to All-American accolades during the 2017 season. Falotico has also won three straight NACC Javelin titles under Walton's watch. 

In addition, Walton helped coach Tyler White to the NCAA Division III Track & Field Indoor National Championships. He also helped coach Gavin Falotico to an individual title in the javelin throw during the outdoor season at the NACC Championships, Falotico's first year competing in the event.

He participated on both the football and track & field teams for four years with the Redmen. Walton started two years on offense for the football team and served as an eight-time all-conference competitor in triple jump, pole vault, javelin and multi-events. Named team captain in 2010, he received team awards such as "Most Improved" during the 2009 season as well as "Most Dedicated" during the 2010 season. Walton began his coaching career in 2010 as a part-time pole vault coach. He also took over javelin coaching duties in 2013, as well as long jump and triple jump in 2014.
