Men’s Track & Field finishes sixth at St. Norbert Twilight

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Blue and White finished the day at the St. Norbert Twilight Invite with 58 points. The 58 points were good enough for sixth place. St. Norbert topped the 11 schools with 147.5 points.

Junior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) was the champion in the 400-meter run on Thursday with a winning time of 50.13. He also posted a time of 11.61 in the 100-meter dash for a second-place finish.

The steeplechase saw freshman Jackson Kral (Kohler, Wis.) take second place at 10:12.80.

Freshman Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished in third place at the shot put with a throw of 13.14 meters.

The cage continued to be friendly to the Falcons with sophomore Brandon Hargis (Henderson, Nev.) claiming third-place honors in the discus at 43.23 meters. Hargis also locked down a seventh-place performance in the hammer throw at 37.46 meters and a 12th-place finish in the javelin at 33.32 meters.

Junior Henry Jensen (Muskego, Wis.) galloped his way into a fifth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at 18.34. He also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:01.44.

Freshman Ryan Dziengel (Glendale, Wis.) ground out a time of 18:43.39 in the 5000-meter run in 13th place.

In the 1500-meter run, freshman Derrick Folkman (Bonduel, Wis.) finished in 13th place at 4:55.89.

Sophomore Justin Johnson (Van Dyne, Wis.) led the flock in the 800-meter run in 16th place at 2:17.93.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday, April 27 at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Drake Alternative.
