Men’s Track & Field shines in California

SAN DIEGO, Calif.  – The CUW men placed 10th at the Point Loma Nazarene Invitational to open the outdoor season with 53 points.

Junior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) won the 400-meter dash with a winning time of 48.61. He also clocked in a time of 22.74 in the 200-meter dash in 16th place.

Freshman Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) led the flock in the shot put in seventh place at 12.86 meters and in discus throw in 16th place at 34.72 meters. He also led CUW in the hammer throw in 22nd place at 29.41 meters.

In the 110-meter hurdles, junior Henry Jensen (Muskego, Wis.) notched a time of 19.08 in 12th place. He also finished 15th in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:01.39

Sophomore Emmett Williams (Hartford, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 2:04.74 in the 800-meter run in 13th place.

Junior Ryan Tiegen (Fargo, N.D.) finished in 21st place in the 5000-meter run at 16:38.89.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday back in Wisconsin at The Carroll Invite.
