Men’s Track & Field places eighth at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team finished in eighth place at the Carthage Tadd Metzger on Friday evening. The Falcons finished the day with 21 points and an individual victory.

Junior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) was victorious in the 400-meter dash. Crossing the finish line at 50.19.

Sophomore Paul Leahy (Eldridge, Iowa) finished fourth in the 200-meter dash on Friday at 23.61. He also finished ninth in the 55-meter hurdles at 6.76.

In the 600-meter dash, sophomore Justin Johnson (VanDyne, Wis.) finished in ninth place at 1:35.80.

The 1-mile run saw sophomore Craig Reese (Germantown, Wis.) take third place at 4:37.10.

Freshman Jackson Kral (Kohler, Wis.) led the flock in the 800-metr run in 16th place at 2:07.73.

Junior Henry Jensen (Muskego, Wis.) clocked in at 9.42 in the 55-meter hurdles in 12th place.

In the high jump, freshman Austin Lopez (Ripon, Wis.) placed ninth, clearing the 1.75 meter mark.

Sophomore Dawson Ziegler (Franklin, Wis.) cleared 3.70 meters on the pole vault in 12th place.

At the shot put, freshman Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) led CUW in 14th place at 12.38 meters.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Ripon Redhawk Invite.
