Men's Tennis defeats MSOE in NACC semifinals, falls in finals to IIT

MADISON, Wis. – The Falcons took down the MSOE Raiders 5-1 in the semifinals of the NACC Tournament but then fell in the final to the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks 5-0 on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons took down the Raiders in the semifinals of the NACC Tournament.
-CUW got points at No. 2 doubles with Nathan Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) and Nolan Rademacher's (Monument, Colo.) 8-1 win and at No. 3 doubles with Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) and Cole Werning's (Watertown, Wis.) 8-4 win.
-In singles, the Falcons earned their points with Peter Kloda's (Morton Grove, Ill.) 6-1, 7-6 win at No. 4, Binversie's 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Tim Peters' (Slinger, Wis.) 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.
-With the five points needed to win, the match was called and the Falcons advanced to the finals to face the Scarlet Hawks.
-In the final match, IIT swept CUW 5-0.
-Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) and Binversie both put up strong fights to push their matches to a third set, but neither was able to complete the comeback due to the match being called at the fifth point.
