MSOE edges Men’s Soccer in NACC Semifinals

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The 2018 season came to an end on Wednesday night for the Falcons. The top-seeded Raiders of MSOE advanced to the NACC Tournament Finals with a 2-1 victory.

MSOE scored both of its goals in the first 30 minutes.

Senior Zach Gyuricza (Palatine, Ill.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard in the 34th minute. He was able to retrieve his own rebound and put the ball in the back if the net.

CUW outshot the Raiders on Wednesday night, 20-8, including an 8-3 advantage on shots on goal.

Senior Dagoberto Diaz (Woodburn, Ore.) finished with a game-high six shots.

Junior Nate Yeager (Rio Ranch, N.M.) had one save on the night.

Beyond the Box Score

The Blue and White finish the year at 11-7-1.

The CUW senior class finishes with 50 victories.

The Falcons had not allowed a goal in the last 415 minutes prior to the first MSOE goal. The last goal the Falcons had given up was on Oct. 13 at Illinois Tech.
