Men’s Soccer secures five All-NACC selections

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's soccer program secured five All-NACC selections on Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons landed two All-NACC First Team selections.

On the All-NACC First Team was Gavin Falotico and Dagoberto Diaz.

A senior from Palatine, Illinois, Falotico, is claiming All-NACC First Team honors for the fourth-straight season as a defender. Falotico helped anchor a defense that allowed the fewest number of goals in NACC play. He recorded assists against Concordia Chicago and at Rockford.

A senior from Woodburn, Oregon, Diaz, is being named to the first team for the third-straight year as a midfielder. In NACC play, he finished with five goals and five assists. On Oct. 20, Diaz recorded five points on two goals and one assist.

Senior Zach Gyuricza (Palatine, Ill.) was the lone Falcon on the All-NACC Second Team as a forward. Gyuricza is claiming his first NACC honor. Gyuricza notched four goals and three assists in NACC action. At Lakeland, he scored a goal and an assist for three points.

Nate Yeager and Justin Totsky were named All-NACC honorable mentions.

A junior from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Yeager is picking up his first NACC honor. He started all 11 NACC matches this year and posted a 0.77 goals against average. The Falcons had three shutouts in the NACC season. Yeager finished the conference season with a .814 save percentage.

A junior from, Colgate, Wisconsin, Totsky was named to the All-NACC Second team in 2016. Selected as a defender, Totsky helped the Falcon defense only allow eight goals on the year, the lowest in the NACC.

Rade Novakovich of MSOE was named the Offensive Player of the Year, Jacob Lysik of Aurora was the Defensive Player of the Year. The Freshman of the Year honor was claimed by Jason Cano of Wisconsin Lutheran and Jimmy Banks of MSOE was named the Coach of the Year.
