Men's Soccer slated second in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE – Following a 2017 NACC Regular Season Championship, the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer team was picked to finish second in 2018, according to the Preseason Poll voted on by the leagues head coaches and sports information directors.

The Falcons (11-4-3, 9-1 NACC in 2018) received four first-place votes and 251 points in the preseason poll. Dominican picked up 18 first-place votes and 281 votes as the Stars were predicted to capture the 2018 Regular Season Title. Benedictine received the final two first-place votes and 231 poll points as the Eagles were slotted for third.

CUW has won two of the last three NACC Regular Season Championships, posting 9-1 conference records during both title runs. This season the conference schedule will be 11 games with the addition of IIT, who was picked to finish sixth.

Aurora (229), MSOE (187), and IIT (151) were chosen fourth through sixth, rounding out the predicted NACC Tournament participants. The league tournament features the top six teams with the higher seed hosting each game.

Edgewood (140), Marian (138), and Wisconsin Lutheran (105) were next in line with Concordia Chicago (71), Rockford (54), and Lakeland (32) rounding out the poll.

CUW will begin its 2018 season next Friday, August 31 in a home non-conference match at 5 p.m. The Falcons first conference match will be Wednesday, September 19 at 4 p.m. versus Marian.
