HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Stars had the lone goal in the first half, the 11th score of the season from Nicole Vitale. Vitale picked up his own rebound and beat the Falcons keeper for a 1-0 lead for the Stars.

- Dominican went up 2-0 just 3:40 into the second half on a Nestor Ascencio score. Ascencio was able to come up with a loose ball in the box and find the lower left corner of the goal, putting CUW in a two-goal deficit.

- The Falcons got on the board in the 61st minute on a penalty kick converted by Dagoberto Diaz (Woodburn, Ore.). A foul in the box gave Diaz the opportunity and he converted, cutting the Stars lead in half.

- Dominican answered just under six minutes later on a score by Adam Yaghmour. Yaghmour had a great individual effort, dribbling through the Falcons defense and beating the keeper on the right side.

- Nate Yeager (Rio Rancho, N.M.) finished with three saves for the Falcons. CUW also received a team save as Gavin Falotico (Palatine, Ill.) stopped Vitale's first attempt at a score in the first half, but Vitale was able to get the rebound score immediately after.
