CUW booters control Benedictine 2-0

MEQUON, Wis.-  Concordia Wisconsin set the tone early as Kyle Sytsma (Sr./ Antioch, Ill.) buried an Arturo Vera (Sr./ Chicago, Ill.) assist into the back of the net just four minutes into the match.

From there the Falcons combined solid defense with a number of excellent counter opportunities in the process of defeating Benedictine 2-0 at Fitting Field.

CUW played without top defender Jacob Pope but the back line was "solid throughout" according to Coach Tom Saleska.

Sytsma added the proverbial nail in the coffin when he pounded home a penalty kick in the 79th minute, assuring Saleska's booters of a happy Homecoming celebration and a 5-1-0 conference record to date.

The Falcons, who remain a game behind first place Dominican in NAC standings, host Marian on Wednesday, October 10th.
