AURORA, Ill.- Concordia Wisconsin battled back from adversity twice, tying the match for a second time with only two minutes remaining in regulation, but once again CUW fell vctim to the OT jinx in a 3-2 loss at Aurora.
AU's Anthony Parra was just too much for the Falcons to handle as he scored all three of the home team's goals; the final killer coming with only two minutes remaining in the second overtime session.
This match was 0-0 at the break but Parra's first goal came at 56:18 and looked like a game-winner until CUW's Tyler Harris responded at 77:07.
Once again it appeared the Spartans were home free when Parra tallied at 81:44, but back came the valiant Falcons with Kyle Sytsma heading home a Jacob Pope service at 87:15.
Each team had three shots during the overtime sessions before Parra completed his trifecta, dropping Tom Saleska's team to 2-1-0 in the NAC and 5-6-0- overall.
The Falcons travel to Lakeland Tuesday for a 4:00pm NAC matchup.
