Saleska's 400th starts off the NAC season properly

MEQUON, Wis.-  Head coach Tom Saleska has been on the winning side of a LOT of soccer matches; 400 to be exact.   After collecting 151 victories at the varsity high school level, Saleska brought his skills to CUW where he and his Falcons have now amassed another 249 wins.

The most recent conquest came late this afternoon as Saleska's side came back from an "own goal" 1-0 deficit to hand visiting Concordia Chicago a 4-1 defeat.

A miscommunication between CUW's goal keeper and a defender in just the third minute of the match put the Falcons in a tough 0-1 spot.

Tyler Harris was the recipient of a brilliant assist from Diego Campos that brought the Falcons (now 3-3-0 on the season) back to even in the 19th minute.

The score remained knotted through a quiet halftime with nobody aware that the Jacob Pope Traveling Thrill Show was about to begin.

The talented junior Falcon defender scored not once...nor twice...but THREE times over a twenty five minute span to ensure that Saleska's side would begin the NAC season at 1-0.

CUW hosts Rockford next Tuesday at 4:00pm, hoping to get Saleska his 250th Concordia win.
