MEQUON, Wis.- North Park (3-2-0) broke from a scoreless halftime tie to a 2-1 win over Concordia Wisconsin Tuesday evening in a non-conference match at Fitting Field.
Unlike CUW's most recent losses when the Falcons controlled possession only to see quick-strike counters, this time it was the visitors who appeared to have the better of play from the outset.
Tom Saleska's side was outshot 10-5 in the first 45 minutes but stayed even until North Park's Jonas Pettersson knocked home a one touch assist at 50:55.
North Park struck again about 17 minutes later on a beautiful header by Jakob Aronsson off a corner kick.
Concordia (2-3-0) cut the deficit in half on a penalty kick conversion by senior Kyle Sytsma just three minutes later, but the issue was decided on a twenty yard blast by NP's Mike Herbst with ten minutes remaining.
