Lataille added to CUW men's soccer staff

MEQUON, Wis.-  Concordia men's soccer coach Tom Saleska has announced the addition of Marty Lataille to the CUW soccer staff.  "Marty is a member of the Concordia soccer family and a perfect fit for our program," announced Saleska.

Lataille, a familiar name to Falcon soccer fans, returns to Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2012 after five years of coaching high school-level soccer at his alma mater, West Allis Nathan Hale. Lataille is a 2007 graduate of CUW and was a four year member of the Falcon's soccer program.  During Lataille's senior campaign (2006) the Falcons  won a CUW record nine straight games while not conceding a goal during that streak.

Immediately after graduating from CUW Lataille accepted the head coaching position at Nathan Hale. In his first two years as coach the team won a total of five games. Over the next three years they averaged nine wins a season.

During that time he also coached club-level soccer and directed camps for numerous programs including West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Department, Parkland Soccer Club, MK Alliance and most recently the Croatian Eagle Soccer Club.

Included in Lataille's resume are USSF "D" and "C" Licenses and NSCAA National and Advanced National Diploma.

Over the past years he has worked numerous collegiate camps including University of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Akron University. During two spring seasons he volunteered at UWM.

Along with his coaching background, Lataille has a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.  In 2012 he completed the Graduate Teacher Certification Program at CUW and received his Wisconsin Teaching License in Elementary Education.  Outside of coaching he has worked as an educator and recreational specialist.

"I am really excited about returning to CUW, I loved my experience as a student athlete. The education, environment and facilities at the school are exceptional. This is a tremendous opportunity to work with Coach Saleska and the successful men's soccer program he built," said Lataille.
