Men's Lacrosse runs away from Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- A five-goal scoring spurt in the middle portion of the game was enough for Concordia Wisconsin to go ahead by four goals and never look back during an 11-6 non-conference victory over Dubuque on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 11, Dubuque 6
Location: Oyen Field (Dubuque, Iowa)
Records: Concordia Wisconsin 2-1, Dubuque 1-1

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons found themselves down 3-2 with eight minutes and 20 seconds left to play before halftime before going on a 5-0 scoring run that pushed into the middle portion of the third quarter. That scoring run put them ahead four and they never looked back. Concordia Wisconsin piled on three more unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter for its second win of the season.
- Over a 27-plus minute span throughout the middle of the game, the Falcons outscored the Spartans 8-1. In that scoring spree, junior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) had a trio of goals and junior Connor Peterson (Calgary, Alberta) had a pair of scores.
 - Day led all scorers with four goals, while Peterson and senior Taitum Priewe (Janesville, Wis.) each recorded a pair of scores.
- Defensively, Day had three caused turnovers, senior Ben Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) and freshman Jack Gromosky (Danville, Ind.) each had five ground balls. Gramarossa won 12-of-17 faceoffs.
- In goal, junior Alex Loding (Mundelein, Ill.) had 19 saves in a complete-game victory.
- Dubuque was led by three players who each scored twice. Dante Robinson had four caused turnovers and Ryan Gartner made 12 saves in goal.
