Falcons drop non-conference game to Cardinals

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central built a three-goal lead after the opening quarter and Concordia Wisconsin wasn't able to recover during a 14-8 non-conference loss on Saturday at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the Cardinals scored three goals in the first quarter, the Falcons responded with four goals of their own in the second period. Junior Donovan Harper (Yorba Linda, Calif) found the back of the net and junior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) scored a man-up goal midway through the quarter. Junior Luke Billehus (Anoka, Minn.) and Harper scored back-to-back markers to get the visitors to within two goals.
- North Central and Concordia Wisconsin traded goals in the third quarter, with the Falcons receiving a pair of goals from senior Taitum Priewe (Janesville, Wis.) and one from Day.
- Junior Connor Peterson (Calgary, Alberta) found the back of the net for his lone score in the game with 7:36 to play.
