Gramarossa wins MLC Defensive Player of the Week honors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Ben Gramarossa was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) controlled the faceoff circle during a pair of home victories for the Falcons. The junior midfielder won 15-of-22 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls to begin the week against Marian on Wednesday, before winning 11-of-13 faceoffs and picking up eight ground balls versus North Central (Minn.).

The weekly conference honor for the faceoff specialist is the first of the season and third of his career.
