HOW IT HAPPENED

- Again, the Falcons notched three scores in the third quarter to build a 6-1 advantage after 45 minutes of play. Both squads scored three times in the fourth, but it was the Falcons 47-28 shots advantage (24-15 on goal) that kept the pressure on the Scots defense.
- Senior Jack Melby (Eagan, Minn.) won 9-of-15 faceoffs and senior Garrett Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) made eight saves and picked up eight ground balls.
- In all, seven Falcons found the back of the net during the victory. Sophomore Ryan LeFebvre (Chicago, Ill.) assisted on a goal in the first and last quarter.
- Croy Seagren scored two goals for Monmouth and Grant Miller made 15 saves in a losing effort.
