Harper scores five goals, Men's Lacrosse remains unbeaten in MLC play

AURORA, Ill. -- Donovan Harper had a career game with five goals, four in the second half, to help Concordia Wisconsin to a 10-3 MLC victory at Aurora on Wednesday night. The win keeps the Falcons undefeated halfway through league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Harper (sophomore, Yorba Linda, Calif.) tickled the twine just over five minutes into the game for the only score in the opening quarter and to begin a five-goal run for the Falcons. He would make his presence felt in the second half, netting two in the third quarter and back-to-back goals within three minutes late in the fourth.
- Senior Stephen Gregory (Louisville, Ky.) netted just the eighth man-down goal in program history a minute and 25 seconds into the second before senior Jack Donnellan (Grayslake, Ill.) scored consecutive goals. Sophomore Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) put the Falcons in front 5-0 with a man-up marker with 5:38 to play before halftime.
- Senior Mario Baregi (Champlin, Minn.) added to the scoring barrage with a goal with 2:38 to play in the third quarter.
- Concordia Wisconsin was efficient throughout the game, scoring 10 goals on 29 total shots. They also cleared 20-of-22 attempts, had a 32-25 advantage in ground balls and caused nine turnovers.
- Senior Garrett Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) stopped 13 shots in goal during a complete game winning effort. Junior Nathan Oekerman (Beaverton, Ore.) had a game-high-tying three caused turnovers, while Wohlford picked up 10 ground balls.

GAME NOTES
- In all, there were 11 penalties for 11:30 in the game, with Aurora being whiled for nine infractions totaling seven minutes.
- With a 5-0 record, the Falcons are the only unbeaten team in the MLC.
