Men's Lacrosse wraps up non-conference portion of its schedule

KENOSHA, Wis. -- The scoreboard was tied at 2-2 prior Carthage scoring nine-consecutive goals before winning 16-7 over Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday night at Art Keller Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) scored both of the Falcons first half goals at 9:22 and 7:18 in the opening quarter to knot the scoreboard at 2-2. However, the Red Men then scored nine-consecutive goals to lead 11-2 at halftime.
- Senior Aidan Connolly (Grayslake, Ill.) had two markers in the second half.
- Senior Jack Melby (Eagan, Minn.) and junior Ben Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) combined to win 16-of-27 faceoffs. Melby won nine faceoffs and picked up five ground balls.
- The Falcons cleared 16-of-19 attempts and outshot the Red Men 46-35. They also conclude their five-game road trip with a 3-2 record.
- Colin Poitra led Carthage with five goals, while Andy Szun and Ethan Flight each had a hat trick.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin returns to MLC play the remainder of the season and hosts Fontbonne on Saturday at 1 pm at Fitting Field.
