HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fans watching from the stands might have only seen the orange ball move from one side of the field to the other, as heavy snow fell gracefully to the turf covering the lines and forcing the shovles to make quick laps around the field during intermissions. Even with the cruel weather, the Falcons offense was still able to find a way to build a lead and capture the victory.
- Concordia Wisconsin was able to score five unanswered goals that spanned from 9:27 left in the third when they went up 5-4 to all the way to only 2:30 left in the third quarter bringing the score to 9-4. Junior Jack Donnellan (Grayslake, Ill.) was able to score three goals during that time period, while also coming away with one assist.
- Staring at a five-goal deficit the Eagles were not going to go down easy. Benedictine scored with 12:27 to go in the fourth quarter and added another one only two minutes later. The two scores brought the tally to 9-6 in favor of CUW. The snow was building and so was the momentum with two more goals coming, bringing the fight for second place even closer with the score settling at 9-8 with just over two minutes left.
- The Falcons defense was able to stay strong and close the door on the comeback by capturing their fifth conference win. CUW was led by Donnellan who came alive in the third period scoring all three of his goals during that span. Junior Stephen Gregory (Louisville, Ky.) also was able to put two goals into the net. Junior Garrett Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) was able to stonewall 12 shots in 60 minutes of play. Concordia Wisconsin went 18-22 on the clear and was dominate in the center circle going 15-20 in faceoffs.

THE OPPOSITION
- The Eagles were led by Corbin Gett who was able to fire in three goals and collect two ground balls. Nick Wood was also a strong performer for Benedictine, as he was a key offensive member late in the game totalling three goals on nine shots. Sam Sanko was between the pipes for the Eagles, as he made 10 saves on the day.
