NEWSWORTHY NOTES
•  CAUSING HAVOC:
The Falcons have played well on defense, ranking 33rd in the country in caused turnovers per game (11.0). They have caused 15 or more turnovers three times this season, including a season-high 20 in the season-opener at Olivet.
•  DAY SHOWING FLASHES: Rookie Keijo Day has shown flashes of great play this season, scoring eight goals and adding six assists through seven games. On Saturday he recorded his first career hat trick.
•  THE SERIES, LAST MEETING: Carthage owns a 5-3 series lead over Concordia Wisconsin and holds a 65-50 scoring advantage. After a 5-3 lead at halftime, the Red Men outscored the Falcons 5-1 in the second half to ultimately win 10-4 on March 7, 2017.
• SCOUTING CARTHAGE: The Red Men have cruised past opponents this season, winning all six of their games by at least five goals. They rank as the 17th best team in the country in terms of winning margin (7.14). Carthage is also ranked fourth nationally in faceoff winning percentage (70.9) and are top-15 in three other per game averages. They also have five players ranked in the top-10 statistically.
