Preview: Men's Lacrosse begins MLC play against Beloit

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin begins Midwest Lacrosse Conference play on Saturday with a 12 pm matchup against Beloit at Fitting Field.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
•  IT STARTS NOW:
Concordia Wisconsin had its six games to fine tune things over the past month and Saturday marks its first Midwest Lacrosse Conference game of the season. The Falcons were picked to finish second in the MLC Preseason Poll voted on by the head coaches.
•  THE LAST MEETING: The Falcons own the series with a 3-1 record and the last time out the Buccaneers took a close 7-6 contest. Beloit scored the game's final four goals to come from behind in the final 10 minutes on its home turf. Concordia Wisconsin's Aidan Connolly netted four goals, Garrett Wohlford made 17 saves and Paul Fisher had eight caused turnovers.
•  MARCH IS KIND: Concordia Wisconsin has traditionally played well in the month of March, posting a 33-15 record. It's most successful month of March came in 2014 when they went 7-1. More so, the Falcons have played just 12 of their 48 games in the month of March at home, but have been successful with a 10-2 record.
• ST. PATRICK'S DAY: Just once before in the Falcons history have they played on St. Patrick's Day, which was a 13-7 victory over Piedmont in 2015 on the road.
