NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• SERIES FAVORS FALCONS: Concordia Wisconsin has a 4-1 lead in the series against Elmhurst, but the Bluejays snapped a four-game winning streak with a 5-4 decision last year. The Falcons led 4-1 entering halftime last year before eventually falling in overtime in the non-conference road game.
• BOTH ENDS OF THE SPECTRUM: Concordia Wisconsin won its season-opener in decisive fashion, 14-3 at Olivet, before dropping a difficult 12-3 contest against John Carroll on Saturday. The loss dropped the Falcons to 5-3 in season-openers.
• WOHLFORD STOPS ELMHURST: Garrett Wohlford has played well in his two career matchups against Elmhurst, recording a combined 28 saves in a pair of victories. During his rookie year, he made 16 saves during a 12-6 victory at home before recording 11 saves a year ago in a 5-4 overtime loss on the road.
• YOUTHFULNESS: Concordia Wisconsin is youthful when looking at its 41-man roster, with 22 players having underclassmen status (12 freshmen, 10 sophomores). Of those players, six have scored at least a goal. Meanwhile, three underclassmen have caused or picked up multiple ground balls so far.
