QUOTING COLIN RALEY, MATT ERICKSON

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Every coach expects their senior class to lead vocally and at time by examples, which is exactly what head coach Michae Fahey got from Asmundson and Warner.
- Asmundons (senior, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) had a career game with eight points, including six assists, while Warner (senior, Ham Lake, Minn.) also did damage with a hat trick and an assist.
- Northland kept the game close on the scoreboard, trailing 4-3 with 11:33 to play before halftime, but it wouldn't get any closer than that the remainder of the way.
- Junior Paul Fisher (Champlin, Minn.) began the matchup by charging up middle of the field before his shot bounced off a defender's stick and into the goal for the first marker of the day. Asmundson began his point counting with a pin-point accuracy shot that caught the upper right corner for a 2-0 advantage with five-plus minutes to play in the opening quarter.
- The Lumberjacks played well for a first-year program, as Joseph Hofer and Andrew Henderson each goals to tie the game at 2-2. Sophomore Warren Kaminsky (Winnipeg, Manitoba) heard the PA announcer counting down the clock and fired off a shot that hit the net with three ticks left in the opening quarter to give his team a 3-2 lead.
- Warner was one of the Falcons that created headaches for the Lumberjacks as he tore through the defense and scorched the back of the net for three goals while serving up one assist. He was very creative on the offensive side by finding the holes in the defense and exploiting them for goal scoring opportunities that led to a five-goal period, which gave the Falcons control. During the second period, Asmundson went into helping mode with three assists.
- Kaminsky ended his effort with another hat trick, his third in the last five games, while senior Colin Raley (Inverness, Ill.) had two goals and sophomore Stephen Gregory (Louisville, Ky.) recorded a goal and two assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Asmundson's eight points were tied for the 10th most in a game in program history, while his six assists are tied for the second most.
- Freshman Ethan Danz (Appleton, Wis.) caused five turnovers, good to for the ninth-most in a game in program history.
- The Falcons fired 57 shots, compared to the Lumberjacks 18in the game. The hosts were also 3-of-3 on man-up chances and held the opposition to just 1-of-6.
- Concordia Wisconsin has won six of its last seven games and has continued its undefeated streak at home this season.
