Faceoff notes: Falcons host Raiders on Wednesday

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin hosts MSOE on Wednesday at 4 pm at Fitting Field. The Falcons and Raiders have each won two MLC games in a row.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
- THE HOME STRETCH:
Concordia Wisconsin is settling in for the home stretch of MLC games with four more to play. The Falcons have four of the final six games at Fitting Field and are 3-0 at home this season, and have outscored opponents 54-7 in those contests.
- TRY AND SCORE: The Falcons are having one of their best defensive statistical seasons in program history, allowing just 5.55 goals per game, which ranks third nationally. The current season program record for goals allowed is 6.65 set two years ago.
- DOMINATING FACEOFFS: The combination of Ben Gramarossa and Jack Melby have performed extremely well in the faceoff circle this season. In the past two games, they have won 41-of-47 faceoff attempts. Concordia Wisconsin is on pace to set the single-season record for faceoff win percentage (.635).
- LAST TIME MET: Concordia Wisconsin scored at least three goals in every quarter during a commanding 17-7 MLC victory over MSOE. The Falcons were 3-of-5 on man-up and won 20-of-28 faceoffs.
