QUOTING JAMES WARNER

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin had 15 different goal scorers and multiple players scored their first career goal. The Falcons also 37 players see action in the contest. The different array of players helped the team, as a whole took 68 total shots on goal.
- The Falcons got started early with four goals coming in the first period, as senior Kellen Asmundson (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) zig-zagged his way through the defense creating opportunities for several of his teammates. Asmundson assisted on three of the first four goals scored by the Falcons, while senior James Warner (Ham Lake, Minn.) was able to cash in on two of them.
- Concordia Wisconsin didn't stop there as the second period proved to be more fruitful, as they racked up five goals to cap off a 9-0 first half lead. Colin Raley gave the Griffins headaches during the second quarter on the offensive side by serving up three goals. Warner also pitched in two assists during the five-goal outburst.
- Even though the offense for the Falcons was finding success, some might say the defense was just as impressive. Concordia Wisconsin limited Fontbonne to 10 total shots for the game and harassed the visiting attackers around the entire field. The Griffins had a hard time all game finding room to work, as the Falcons put the clamps down. It seemed like every time the Griffins would get in position to get off the shot the Falcons would converge and knock them off the spot or force an offensive reset.
- Senior Colin Raley (Inverness, Ill.) scored a game-high four goals, and freshman Alan Davis (Ballwin, Mo.) and Asmundson dished out three assist each. Warner posted a three goal and two assist stat line.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Concordia Wisconsin's Asmundson had a career-high in points scored with six (three goals, three assists). Sophomore Mario Baregi (Champlin, Minn.) and freshman Collin Berman (San Marcos, Calif.) had career-highs with three points scored.
- Davis and freshman Logan Holmes (Pearland, Texas) scored their first goal as a Falcon this afternoon, as well as freshman Griffin Treanor (Onalaska, Wis.) who capitalized on two of his three shots to push his goal total to two.
- Concordia Wisconsin scored the sixth-most points in a single game in program history with 40. The Falcons also had the second most shots with 68, tied for fourth most with 24 goals and tied for seventh most with 16 assists.
- It was also the fifth shutout in program history.
