Gramarossa earns MLC Defensive Player of the Week honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Ben Gramarossa was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) won 17-of-24 faceoffs in his first career game to help the Falcons to a 19-2 season-opening victory over Dubuque. The freshman also picked up six ground balls.

The honor is the first of his career and the first for a Falcon this season.
