Men’s Hockey falls short in a battle at MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Falcons fell short in a back and forth battle at MSOE on Friday night. The Raiders edged Concordia Wisconsin, 4-3. The Blue and White move to 7-12-3 and 5-8-2 in the NCHA.

MSOE led on Friday after 20 minutes, 1-0.

Freshman Brandon MacKinnon (Etobicoke, Ont.) tied the game, five minutes into the second period. Junior Dante Hahn (Victoria, B.C.) and senior Adam Fauchoux (Prince Albert, Sask.) were credited with the assists.

After an MSOE goal, Adam Fauchoux scored with 14 seconds remaining in the second period. Freshman Peter Kapak (Red Deer, Alta.) and Brandon MacKinnon added the assists.

The Raiders regained the lead 65 seconds into the third period.

Sophomore Nick Guerra (Victoria, B.C.) tied the game off passes from freshman Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) and senior Taylor Gauld (Whitby, Ont.).

MSOE scored on the power play in the final three minutes to clinch the victory.

Freshman Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) posted 42 saves between the posts.

The loss pushes the Falcons to fifth place in the NCHA South Division.

The Falcons look to get back into the playoff picture at home on Saturday against MSOE.

The Blue and White will 'Pink the Rink' on Saturday to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
