No. 9-ranked Bulldogs bite Men’s Hockey

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Falcons four-game unbeaten streak ended on Saturday afternoon at Adrian. The Falcons fought back from a deficit, but the ninth-ranked Bulldogs walked away with a 5-3 victory to send CUW to 5-11-3 on the season and 3-7-2 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. Adrian improves to 13-5-1 and to 8-3-1 in NCHA action.

Sophomore Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alta.) put the Falcons up first with a first-period goal off a pass from sophomore Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.).

The Bulldogs bit the Falcons with four unanswered goals.

The Blue and White opened the third period with a goal from senior Stefen Seel (Invermere, B.C.).

With less than two minutes remaining, sophomore Nick Guerra (Victoria, B.C.) made it a one-goal game with Nick Guiney earning his second assist of the night.

Adrian scored an empty-net goal with 32 seconds remaining to secure the victory.

Freshman Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) finished the day with 42 saves.

The CUW penalty kill killed off both penalties.

Stefen Seel led the Falcons with five shots.

CUW is now 1-3-1 against ranked competition.

The Falcons will return to action on Friday at home against Aurora.
