Northland tops Men’s Hockey

ASHLAND, Wis. – The CUW men's hockey team came up short on Saturday night at Northland. The Falcons fell  to Northland, 4-2. The Blue and White are now 0-5-1 on the season.

Northland struck first in the first period.

CUW evened the game 20 seconds later, off the stick of senior Connor Hogg (London, Ont.).

Junior Jim Pearson (Ashton, Ont.) had the assist on the Hogg goal.

Sophomore Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alta.) scored on the power play to give the Falcons the lead at 2-1.

Northland closed the game on a 3-0 run.

Senior Stefen Seel (Invermere, B.C.) won 18 faceoffs on Saturday.

Freshman Thomas Dyball (Papillion, Neb.) recorded three blocks.

Junior Mac Ferner (Vernon, B.C.) led the Falcons with five shots on Saturday.

Sophomore Dakota Delbridge (Tracy, Calif.) finished the night with 25 saves.
